HAPPY HALLOWEEN
What did you or your children go as trick or treating this year? My family loves Halloween, every year we love to dress up as different characters but keep to one theme for Halloween night. My girls have been kitty cats, princesses, mermaids, and JoJo! While my husband and I went as Top Gun to the Trunk-or-Treat! This year we are dressed up as ENCANTO. Our favorite Disney musical!
I bring this up because we enjoy all the Halloween festivities, so naturally I like to incorporate some fun into our meals! If you are also that Mom then read on!
Everything you will need for your Mixture
INGREDIENTS
2-3 pounds of Roast
3 Large Carrots
1 Onion
1 Can of Sliced Potatoes
1 Bushel of Mushrooms
Season Salt
Onion Soup Mix
1 cup of water or broth
*optional - Garlic Salt, Italian Seasoning for taste
Preparing the Morsels
Now you are probably wondering how to get your veggies to look this spooky for your meal! Don't worry it is EASY!
Sliced Potatoes - open the can and place potatoes on a cutting surface, I used a plastic straw to mark our the eyes and face for the little ghost face!
Pumpkin Carrots - This one takes the most amount of time but still not difficult. I cut my three large carrots into slices. You will then cut two parallel lines to make the stem then cut two diagonal lines to make triangles. Remove the triangles and now you have a cute pumpkin!
Skull Mushrooms - So EASY! I used the plastic straw to make the eyes, I did two sets on either side of the mushroom so no matter how much it turned in the crockpot, you'd still see the skull faces.
Now to put it all Together
Ok you are ready to create your concoction!
- Place your Crockpot on Low or High depending on your timing (allow to cook 4-6 hours)
- Cut off any excess fat (or don't), Season your meat and place into the crockpot. I like to add crockpot bags for less cleanup!
- Add in all vegetables, don't forget to dice up your onion!
- Add your Seasoning
- Pour your 1 Cup of Water over everything, I know it doesn't look like a lot but trust me. The meat and veggies will create their own moisture
Come check on your dinner periodically
Serve and Enjoy!
